Frequently Asked Questions

  • Not at all — and honestly, the best journeys often start without a fixed destination. What we need to begin is a feeling: what you're searching for, what you want to leave behind, what kind of landscape or experience has been quietly calling you. The destination tends to reveal itself from there.

  • Three things. First, access — through our Fora and Virtuoso network, we unlock rates, upgrades, and supplier relationships that simply aren't available to the public. Second, intention — every property, guide, and experience is chosen because it belongs in your journey, not because it fills a template. Third, the relationship — we work with you before, during after you return and care for your experience at a personal level. No booking engine offers that.

  • Many of them, yes — and where we haven't, we rely on a deeply vetted network of trusted partners and operators who have. We will always tell you which is which. Producing field stories for media and exploring across 50+ countries means we know how to read a destination beyond its brochure.

  • Absolutely. We are based in Miami and work globally — with clients across the US and internationally. Everything is handled remotely and seamlessly.

  • It begins with your brief — a short form that tells us what you're feeling, where your mind has been wandering, and when you're thinking of traveling. From there, we schedule a consultation call to understand the full picture. Once we've defined the scope together, we'll confirm the service tier and any planning fees before any work begins. Then we build — and you see the journey take shape before you commit to a single booking.

  • For The Journey or The Gathering, we recommend at least three to six months ahead — especially for peak seasons, remote destinations, or properties with limited availability. For The Stay, we can often move much faster. If you have a specific date in mind, reach out as soon as possible.

  • After our consultation call and fee confirmation, a first draft typically takes one to two weeks depending on the complexity of the journey. Multi-destination and group itineraries take longer. We will always give you a clear timeline before we begin.

  • Because the work of designing a journey that genuinely fits you — the research, the curation, the relationships, the thinking — is substantial and skilled. Planning fees ensure we can give your journey the full attention it deserves. They also mean our recommendations are entirely in your interest, not driven by commission incentives.

  • All planning fees are confirmed during the consultation call and paid in advance before any itinerary work begins. We do not start building until fees are settled — this protects your time and ours.

  • Some of our supplier and operator partners offer contracted rates that cannot be itemized — this is standard practice in high-end travel and reflects the confidential agreements that allow us to deliver exceptional value. What you receive is a complete, thoughtfully assembled experience. We will always be transparent about this upfront.

  • It means every decision in your itinerary has been filtered through a simple question: does this give back to the place it takes from? The properties we recommend have genuine sustainability practices — not just a green logo. The guides we trust have spent years building relationships with the ecosystems they lead you through. The experiences we design create space for real presence rather than consumption.
